CHRISTMAS DINNER "IN A BOX"
Who said COVID 19 spoils everything? All you have to do is think "out of the box." Traditionally we would gather for our Annual Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings prior to
the Hanging of the Greens.. This year we a "different" approach in mind. Join us on Sunday, December 13th and as you drive in, you will receive "Christmas Dinner in a Box." Choose from an 8 in Turkey, Italian, ham and cheese, cheesesteak or meatball hoagie with sides. (Veggie available for those with special dietary needs) Enjoy your meal as we reflect on Christmas and how we have been truly blessed.
*** Please indicate your choice in the post on Facebook by Sunday (12/6) OR there will also be forms available in Sunday's bulletin to make your sandwich selection for a better idea of what
we'll need.

Advent tree lighting ceremony:
-Join us for our Advent tree lighting ceremony complete with carols, hot chocolate, and cookies on Sunday, December 6th beginning at 6:00 pm. Everything will be outdoors, so dress warm! Masks required. You can also choose to remain in your car and tune in!

HANGING OF THE GREENS SERVICE
We would like to extend an invitation to all our members, friends and family of the congregation to come celebrate the “Hanging of the Greens” service on Sunday, December 13th at 6:00 p.m. outdoors. We will take a yearly tradition and put a new twist on a tradition.
The Hanging of the Greens Service will take you on a journey of what the Holy Season of Advent means and how we
prepare ourselves for Christ’s arrival. There will be special music, readings on the significance of the decorations used throughout this season. This service will give us a sense of what we may be missing
throughout the holiday season. We as Americans with our hectic lives get very caught up in working, cooking, baking, shopping, etc. Please come and enjoy this special event and find ways to put Christ back in Christmas.
***I will also be looking for the children to assist with the live nativity.

*CONGREGATIONAL MEETING*
-On December 13th, we will hold the 1st part of our annual Congregational meeting. There are two items of business to address. The first is to approve the 2021 Budget and we are also required to elect council members. Much like meeting indoors we will ask the first service members to remain, while we will ask the second service members to join us immediately following the first service. We will ask you to look over the budget and send any questions to pastor's cell phone. Should you have any additional names to add to the ballot, we will ask you to do the same. You will be asked to "vote" on the budget and drop your ballots in the offering plate on the way out.
Again this way we are able to conduct the business of the church and move forward into the new year safely.

This month's movie is Max Lucado's “The Christmas Child”
Monday, December 14th at 6:30pm
The Christmas Child tells the story that as Christmas draws near, Jack finds himself disconnecting from the holidays, his job and ultimately his wife. His latest assignment as a journalist takes him to Dallas, but a mysterious photograph draws him to the town of Clearwater, Texas. It is here he discovers the town’s life-sized, intricately carved nativity. As Jack delves into the mysteries surrounding the nativity and its creator, he uncovers secrets from his past, reunites with the family he never knew, and returns to the love who never left him.

CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICES :
Christmas Eve services are currently planned outdoors due to the current COVID numbers. If things change one service may move indoors but as of now we plan to offer three services on December 24 at 5:00, 7:00 and 10:00 p.m.
*We are still reviewing these decisions. We would like to see the statistics over the next 2 weeks in hopes of offering at least one indoor service. Please let pastor know of your preference. If you feel strongly one way or another, please speak to her directly. If there is a want for an indoor service it will most likely be the 10:00 pm service.
